I’m Nina, and this is my little corner of the virtual world—a place where I write about why grey skies, wind in my hair and rain on my face somehow quiet my soul. How I’ll follow the sound of bagpipes, even when they’re only faintly heard in the distance. These are my Scottish adventures, but also the feelings, thoughts and quiet moments that come with them—stories of places I’ve wandered through, landscapes that have stayed with me, and a country that somehow felt familiar long before I could call it home.

There are still moments when the thought that I live in Scotland makes me want to pinch myself, just to make sure it is real — that I truly dared to take such a big step and move from my little green corner beneath the Julian Alps to the land of Rabbie Burns.
